Today was indeed a fruitful day for me especaially learning from my auntie tat the email that i have feedback to the MOH has produced positive and efficent results . I have addresses the concern of the lack of service of a particular doctor in TTSH and the issue of misrepresention of the hospital's policies over my granny's health condition . The doctor somehow or rather has misrepresented the policy of the hospital when we have requested for transfer to SGH seeking of o 2nd opinion , Since the condition of my grandama in not improving .He has bluntly explained that no transfter is permitted and patient has to go thru all tests when he or she decides to receive treatment from another hospital . Upon hearing this from my auntie , i was appalled by his remarks .I was under the impression that due to the hospital's inflexible and inlogical policy resulting and depriving a patient of a 2nd opinion . And to complicate things further , my granny has to go thru another series of similar tests in another hospital . Can you imagine how painful it can be with needles pricking thru your the skin ?


I was deeply impressed by the response and the action of TTSH once our concern is being esclated to MOH .They have stepped forward to clear the air and steps were taken to assist my grandma to seek treatment from SGH .

Having said the above , what TTSH did is to gain creditibility and is quick to deliver service recovery for us . And i believed the hospital did also highlight to the doctor the importance of offering alternatives and the severness of how a policy that is being mispresented will cause much inconvience to a patient.

The mail that i have written to Mr Khaw did have some impact . I guess .

But it does not matter anyway as i felt reassured and good knowing tat PAP cares for the needs of its people , our government is definately doing a good job serving its countrymen .
